This morning we created a picturetoshare with our reading partner at the Senior center. Our purpose is to bring a bit of handmade, personal cheer to leave with each of the seniors. We know the Seniorwill hang this on the wall as a treasure of the fun we had together. In the afternoon, we explored http://www.tagxedo.com/ and continued learning about magnets. The district had us attend professional development yesterday! I was not happy to miss the kids after missing them for a week, but we were glad to have Ms. Reed as our guest teacher. The students worked hard with Ms. Reed and did a great job. Don't forget to check out the eagle cam at http://biggeekdad.com/2011/03/decorah-eagles-webcam/. We had it on during transition times and enjoyed watching the mother eagle look after her three young babies.

It sounds like everyone had an amazingly fun spring break! Today was a marvelous day back. This morning we enjoyed writing about our adventures last week and sharing them with our classmates. In the afternoon, we picked up our journey to the southeastern United States. We also began our unit on magnetism!

It is exciting that spring is here and so are SPRING PICTURES at BCS. SPRING PICTURE DAY IS TOMORROW, APRIL 12 in the morning! All students were given an order form today.

Spring pictures are FUN because there are sixteen colorful backgrounds to choose from. There are sports scenes, the beach, outdoor beauty, the locker room, a graffiti wall and much more. Check out these amazing backgrounds on www.schoolpictures.com . Online orders can be placed starting NOW through midnight tonight. The school code is AA0201.

Students should wear their spring colors for pictures on Tuesday and school appropriate props are allowed. Prop ideas include sports balls and equipment, stuffed animals, a favorite toy, and flowers….be creative! Due to the green screen technology, please avoid wearing green clothing or bringing green props…green won’t show up in the picture.

Please remember that only those students who have placed an order online or those that have an order form to give the photographer will get their picture taken. (This is very different from the fall when all students get their picture taken and can order photographs once proofs are viewed.)
