The First Day!

What an amazing first day day we had! This is one awesome class! Our first day was very smooth and all of most kids seemed very comfortable, easygoing, and happy to be here. It is normal for kids to feel new and a little uncertain. This first week we will be getting comfortable with our classroom, our schedule, and our classmates. After a week or two, all the kids really do feel like seasoned pros! Today the buddies at the tables were full of energy and conversation, so the kids are off to a great start becoming learning buddies.

We had a busy day today and did not follow our normal schedule. Tomorrow will be a normal day! We began the morning with a wordsearch of all the kids’ names in our class and Mrs. Frishman’s class. Then, the kids heard about some of our classroom procedures and values. Then we went to a town hall meeting with our principal, Mr. Hartley. We went to Spanish and then had lunch and recess. After lunch, we did a get-to-know- you- activity with our classmates, got our new planners, got some important handouts, went to bus families, and it was already time for choice hour!!

Thank you for sharing your children with me. It is such a pleasure to work with them!
