It has been a sunny Monday both outside and in room 204! morning we had the greatest time learning about the Michigan territory. Afterwards, we made our own riddle from the lesson. Here is one for you: In 1805 I became the capital of the Territory of Michigan. Who am I? Answer: Detroit!

Today was Dad's Eat and Run! It was so fun seeing all of the Dad’s hanging out in the café and library! Some very brave Dads even ventured out onto the playground to enjoy the snow! This morning we took our test on the story Tanya’s Reunion. We also worked on our Science Wiki page. In the afternoon we learned about the Pioneers in Ecology and checked out books in the library. Ask your child to tell you about Henry David Thoreau's life and dedication to nature. Have a great weekend with friends and family!
Our classroom will be donating a Scrap-Booking Basket for the BCS auction this year!
We would be grateful for any donations you would like to contribute to the by March 12.
We have a box in Mrs Butzin's classroom labeled Auction for your donations.
We could use Scrap-booking scissors, markers, stickers, boarders, paper, photo albums, etc,
Even an inexpensive camera would be awesome if a few families would like to go in on a donation together. Thanks in advance for your support! If you are making a donation, please email Dorothy @ rdsagante@aol.com with a description of your donation.
*Please encourage your child to bring a water bottle to class so he/she does not have to leave class when thirsty!

I hope you had an enjoyable winter break! Today we got right back into the groove of learning and had a great day. This morning the 4th graders attended an instrumental program. Afterwards a Selmer Music Survey was administered to all the participating students. Students then were fitted to the recommended instruments. Later in the week students will be given a form to take home indicating which instrument Anderson Music recommends. This was an exciting opportunity for the 4th graders. In the afternoon during language arts, we read about Tanya’s Reunion and responded to the story. After planners we had a sweet treat in celebration of Shannon’s half birthday!
Our classroom will be donating a Scrap-Booking Basket for the BCS auction this year!
We would be grateful for any donations you would like to contribute to the basket.
We will have a box in Mrs Butzin's classroom labeled Auction for your donations starting Monday.
IT IS IMPORTANT FOR YOUR CHILD TO BRING SHARPENED PENCILS TO SCHOOL EACH DAY! PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR CHILD WITH A PERSONAL PENCIL SHARPENER TO KEEP IN HIS/HER BINDER!!!

Today was busy but wonderful. We started out our day by going to science lab to investigate the PH scale and our ecocolumns. This afternoon our Valentines party was super sweet! Thanks to all of the parents who organized the events and helped out today! We appreciate you and had a fabulous time. It was a treat to have you join us today. This afternoon we also took our spelling test and had our regular library checkout time. I hope you have an enjoyable winter break with your family and friends!
