We had an awesome Superbowl party today! The kids had the most fun and I had the best time watching them! Thank you to the parents who helped out at the party. We appreciate you!

Report cards are coming home today with your child. Please return the envelope signed ASAP. Keep the contents of the envelope at home.

We have our Valentine’s Party on Friday, February 12th from 12:30-1:30pm. Everyone is welcome to attend! If your child wants to bring valentines, please make sure he/she brings valentines for everyone in the class! Remember we are a peanut free classroom! We will make envelopes to collect our valentine’s before the party starts!

Our classroom will be donating a Scrap-Booking Basket for the BCS auction this year.
We would be grateful for any donations you would like to contribute to the basket.
We will have a box in Mrs Butzin's classroom labeled Auction for your donations starting Monday.
We could use Scrap-booking scissors, markers, stickers, boarders, paper, photo albums, etc,
even an inexpensive camera would be awesome if a few families would like to go in on a donation together.
If you are making a donation, please email Dorothy @ rdsagante@aol.com with a description of your donation. Thanks in advance for your support!

*Please encourage your child to bring a water bottle to class so he/she does not have to leave class when thirsty!

IT IS IMPORTANT FOR YOUR CHILD TO BRING SHARPENED PENCILS TO SCHOOL EACH DAY! PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR CHILD WITH A PERSONAL PENCIL SHARPENER TO KEEP IN HIS/HER BINDER!!!

Paragraph Practice: Friendly Letter is due Tuesday, Feb 9th - see handout for details

After completing TWO brainstorm webs. Type your first draft. Then, edit and revise your work. You will now have the computer’s help with some spelling, word choice (using the thesaurus) and grammar issues. However, the ideas and details will always come from you!

You will need to complete the Top 11 Typing Rules Checklist (see last page) to ensure your paragraph is correctly formatted/presented.
You DO NOT need to print out your paragraph. When your final draft is saved on your computer, access our class wiki page (from this blog) and click on student portfolios. Click on edit page, click the images icon, select browse and find your paper. Double click to upload. It should then appear on your wiki page. Save the page then test it works
