Today was great! We got to share our summer packets and we had Ed Tech and Spanish. We also had a treat of yummy cookies. Our lunch was great, and we learned about what it takes to be President of the United States in our Time for Kids magazine. Did you know the salary is $400,000 a year and 1 term is four-years? Also, US Presidents may not serve more than 2 terms. To become US President, you must be born in the US, at least 35 years old and have lived in the US for at least 14 years. In the afternoon, we went to Ed Tech and Spanish.. We had a marvelous Monday! Written by Ben

Today we celebrated the sunny day with donuts from Mrs. Butzin! She loves the warm weather! In concert with our reading selection, Maria Isabel, we wrote about our “Greatest Wish” this morning. The kids “wrote from the heart” as Maria Isabel did in the story and students had an opportunity to with each other in the afternoon. During third grade math we practiced telling time and determining elapsed time. Everyone had their own toolkit clock to use when calculating the time. Afterwards, in science, we designed a straw oboe, straw bassoon and straw reed trombone. Students formed bands with their classmates, and we enjoyed a Battle of the Bands! Our day ended with Spanish….what a fantastic day! Thanks for being so great!
