The BLAST was a huge success because of you! Many thanks to those of you who gave money, time, and products to make this year’s Blast a success. Our class “Scrap Happy” basket was a huge success and was very impressive! Thank you for the turnout and please know that your time and dedication is appreciated by the BCS community!
We had a marvelous Monday in room 204. This morning we took our spelling test and worked on our conference letter. In the afternoon we worked on our conference powepoint and uploaded pictures. At the end of the day we learned about a school-wide community service event in a school assembly. Bassel Salka and Xavier McCormick worked at City Mission in Detroit at a Basketball Camp for underprivileged kids this summer. Our school is going to be assisting the City Mission School in Detroit, MI. The kick-off assembly today was awesome. More information will be going out to everyone in the BCS community this week and on Monday at the assembly.

Paragraph Practice:
None until after break!

After completing TWO brainstorm webs. Type your first draft. Then, edit and revise your work. You will now have the computer’s help with some spelling, word choice (using the thesaurus) and grammar issues. However, the ideas and details will always come from you!

You DO NOT need to print out your paragraph. When your final draft is saved on your computer, access our class wiki page (from this blog) and click on student portfolios. Click on edit page, click the images icon, select browse and find your paper. Double click to upload. It should then appear on your wiki page. Save the page then test to see if it works.
