Spring is quickly approaching, and Spring brings the excitement of Student-Led Conferences at BCS! We are thrilled each year to give your children the opportunity to share their knowledge with you. This year you will spend 55 minutes at your child’s conference and we can assure you an experience that will leave you glowing with pride!
Student-Led Conferences will be held on April 21st and 22nd from 1:00pm – 4:00pm and 5:00pm – 8:00pm (your child will have a half-day of school both days). They will take place in your child’s homeroom as well as his/her partner teacher’s classroom.
On Monday, March 15th, your child’s homeroom teacher will post the sign- up sheets for conferences. Please plan on signing up by Thursday, March 25th as this will help your child plan for his/her conference.
Please look for a letter today from your child detailing the spring conferences. Have a great weekend with your family and friends!

Paragraph Practice:
“Stop Polluting My Environment” is due on Tuesday, March 16th.
After completing TWO brainstorm webs. Type your first draft. Then, edit and revise your work. You will now have the computer’s help with some spelling, word choice (using the thesaurus) and grammar issues. However, the ideas and details will always come from you!
You DO NOT need to print out your paragraph. When your final draft is saved on your computer, access our class wiki page (from this blog) and click on student portfolios. Click on edit page, click the images icon, select browse and find your paper. Double click to upload. It should then appear on your wiki page. Save the page then test to see if it works.
Spelling: List # 7 due March 22 (words from our Ecosystems and Michigan Units)
Choose your spelling words from A, B or C. You need a parent to sign off on the choice you make.
Complete the definition activity on Moodle (up to 2 attempts) and Play 3 games from Spellingcity.com.
