What an awesome Monday we had in room 204. This morning we worked really hard on completion the first draft of our Me You See writing. Some of us began editing in class and others are taking this home for editing. Students will finish their draft at home and get it edited and revised by a parent. These are due back on Wednesday. We will begin our final drafts on Wednesday in class. In the afternoon, we worked on our sound investigations and posted our flip video to our wiki. Our summer project presentations were finished this afternoon. We enjoyed Ed. Tech today.


Tuesday I will be at ignite training.
Friday the kids have no school. We have professional development all day.

Please check your child's Blue Take Home Folder each day to check for mail, homework, and important information.

Here's what we have for you today:
3rd Grade Reading: 20 minutes each day
4th Grade Reading: 30 minutes each day

Cranbrook Field Trip permission slip/money due!

Language Arts: Today the first draft of the writing will be coming home. Students will finish their draft at home and get it edited and revised by a parent. These are due back to class on Wednesday. We will begin our final drafts on Wednesday in class. Finally, check to see if there are any details that you could add to make your paragraphs more interesting.

3rd Grade Math:
Finish JP 2.1; We did all but 2 of these together in class.
Get math test signed by a parent and return tomorrow!

Login and take the assigned tests. (Use your school password)
Students should be able to complete the following number of facts by the end of the year: 30 addition/subtraction facts in 2 mins and 50 division/multiplication facts in 3 mins

4th Grade Math:
JP 40-41 SL 2.6 Geo-Museum Projects are due on October 11th!

REMEMBER TO GET YOUR PLANNER SIGNED EVERY DAY!
Encourage your child to use the yellow checklist in his/her binder at the end of each day! It is a great tool!

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS:

We would love to share in your child’s birthday celebration. If you would like your child to celebrate their birthday at school, please note the following ideas for celebrations:
Please prepare an individual snack for each child.
Please PRECUT large items providing 27 napkins/plates and other necessary utensils.
There are 27 of us!
We will celebrate all birthdays during the designated snack time!
No peanuts please!
If you would prefer that your child not participate in birthday celebrations, please let me know as soon as possible.
