It was a Fantabulous Friday! This morning we published our President of My House paragraph to our wiki. We learned how to tag today as well! In the afternoon we learned more about energy sources and stored energy! It was a full day topped off with a delish brownie at the end. Thanks Owen O for such a yummy class treat!

We will take our second timed 8 multiplication quiz on Monday.
Study 8 multiplication facts for 10+ min this weekend. Prepare so that you are ready to do well on the quiz.

3rd Grade End of Year fact expectations:
Students should have quick mental recall of the following number of facts by the end of the year: 30 addition/30 subtraction facts in 2 mins and 50 division/50 multiplication facts in 3 mins
4th Grade End of Year fact expectations:
Students should have quick mental recall of the following number of facts by the end of the year: 50 addition/50 subtraction facts in 2 mins and 100 division/multiplication facts in 5 mins
4th Grade Math:
Today in class we spent a lot of time talking about extended multiplication (SL 5.2). I let the kids know that sometime next week we will have a pop quiz on extended multiplication. I recommend studying your multiplication facts as well as problems like those found on SL 5.2.
Our homework due Monday is JP 115-116 SL 5.4 We also have a traditional multiplication paper with ten problems to complete (5 on each side). Finally, we have 10 minutes of IXL focusing on skills B1, C1, D1, and E1.
