We had such a busy day today! We started out by discussing the story, Marven of the Great North Woods. We were very excited that this story had a happy ending. We were really worried that something horrible may have happened to Marven’s family. We also examined irregular verbs from the story. I truly enjoyed our sound experiment today. Everyone showed fantastic team work skills and we accomplished a lot!

We are swimming on Tuesday and Friday! Pack and bring your swimming gear! (swimsuit, flip flops, towel, other optional items)

Special Note: MEAP starts Tuesday.

You will want to avoid making doctor’s appointments on those days. On those days, your child will be testing for most of the day. The state mandates that if your child leaves in the afternoon, he/she will have to start over on the test when there is a makeup day. If your child is not here in the morning and arrives in the afternoon, he/she will have to wait for a makeup day to complete that day’s test. We will not have our regular 9:30am snack time on MEAP days.

Your child will have a chance to eat a snack at 8:30am and then will not be able to eat until lunch at 11:00am. Please help your child prepare a good breakfast and get a good night’s sleep for each testing day!

Students: Please go to bed early on Monday night and eat a big breakfast on Tuesday morning.

Parents: Please try to avoid booking Dr.’s appointments during these three testing days.
MEAP Dates: The Michigan Department of Education has mandated a very strict, specific schedule for MEAP this year. Schools do not have much flexibility. Try not to be absent or tardy!! (Specific times to be announced)
