Hallowwen....We will be swimming on Friday, just a little earlier than usual (12:40-1:20). Our swim parents will want to come at this time on Friday. Our Halloween Parade will be at 1:45 on Fridy, and our class party will start after the parade. We welcome all parents to these fun celebrations!
Parent Conferences….Conferences are November 23th and 13th. The conference sign-up is posted outside of our classroom. Please sign up for a conference time that is most convenient for you!
Refelctions Program… This year’s theme is “WOW”. Students can enter works of art in six categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Musical Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts. Entry forms are available in the main office or from a homeroom teacher. Entries can be submitted in the media center through December 9. LET’S GET CREATIVE!!! All students who enter will have their artwork displayed and will enjoy a special lunch.
Also, 2nd Quarter Choice Hour classes begin on Wednesday November 5th. Choice Hour selections will be posted on the Choice Hour board in the main hallway and in each homeroom after school on Monday November 3rd. The deadline for requesting a Choice Hour class change will be Wednesday November 19th by 4:00 PM. Choice Hour class change request forms will be available in the main office after 4:00 PM on Wednesday November 12th. Classes with openings will be listed on the back of the Choice Hour class change request form. Please read the change form very carefully – the form has been redesigned.

Language Arts: Paragraph Practice “Great Potato Disguise” due is due Friday, Nov. 7th. This is one of my favorite assignments, and I know your kids are already quite excited about it! I hleped them plan the days when they will accomplish each part of the task in their planners on pages 44-45.
Social Studies- Today we learned about the three branches of government!
Math:
3rd - MB 3.6 (Study addition and subtraction facts for 10 min.)
Your mental recall goals (for exiting 3rd grade) are 30 addition and 30 subtraction in 2 mins,

4th- Complete JP 76; Test on Halloween; Review due Thursday!

Remember to write the title of the book you are reading in the ‘Keep Track’ section of your planner…did you do it?
Tuesday and Friday will be SWIM (until October 31st) You will need your swim attire!
