Our Friday was Fabulous! WE worked so hard this week and the kids have earned a break. I have an amazing class. Enjoy the weekend!
I just wanted to let you know that I will be flying to Florida to spend the holidays with my family. My parents and my husband’s parents are in Florida and Georgia during the holidays. We will fly into Tampa and enjoy a few days. We will then drive to St. Simons Island, GA to visit with my parents! I will not be at school on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. Mrs. Robinson will be here with the children during my absence. I will be sharing this with the kids on Monday.
After break, we will be starting a unit on Insects and life cycles. For this unit, I need 5 2-liter bottles with caps. They need to be the clear kind. Green ones won’t work:( Thanks so much!

Language Arts: P2 is due on January 6th. Please get a parent to sign this tonight and show to Mrs. B tonight! Please make sure you do the following items : 1) It is turned in by January 6 (2) emailed to YOURSELF on your SCHOOL email account (NOT Mrs. Butzin), and (3) posted on your Wiki!
Social Studies:
Map challenge is due 12/12 and is optional! The social scientist activity is optional for extra credit (see processing 1 worksheet) Choose one activity to complete and follow the directions. Please Note: If you choose to do the Geographer activity you may use your paragraph practice (I will wait for your writing until December 4th) But you still need to draw a map of the state.
Math:
3rd – HL and MB 5.5; JP 108-109 (Get box 4 signed)
Your mental recall goals (for exiting 3rd grade) are 30 addition and 30 subtraction in 2 mins, 50 multiplication and 50 division 3 mins. Check out this math website page and start playing the timed quizzes. www.thatquiz.org

List #2 “ly” and “able” endings Test date (and signed list) is due December 15th
Spelling list is due signed on Monday. Go to www.spellingcity.com and play a game. Play a different game each day of the week! Variety is important!

Remember to write the title of the book you are reading in the ‘Keep Track’ section of your planner…did you do it?
Tuesday and Friday will be SWIM. You will need your swim attire for the next 5 weeks!
