Today was super fantastic!
Valentine’s Day Community Service:
The 3/4 theme for this year is "valuing each other". As a community service project, the 3/4 students are collecting and donating any gently used books to a school in great need. We will be collecting these in the classroom from now until the Valentine's Day Party. These books will be donated to a needy school in Detroit. If you have any books for this effort, please send them to school with your child! Thank you! Please do not feel obligated, this is strictly voluntary.
Report Cards: Ask your child to share with you the brown envelope full of reports. Please keep the reports and return the signed envelope by the end of the week if possible. Thanks so much...
This is a good time of the year to replenish your child’s supplies. Students may need the following personal supplies for school:
scissors, tape, and pencils
Please ask your child if they are in need!
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR CHILD HAS PENCILS IN HIS/HER BINDER!!!
Here’s what we have for you tonight:
Moodle: Complete handout with parent and return on Friday! Complete the points earned section.
Bring 3 or more sharpened pencils!
Some students have mail today.
This is our last week to earn points for Waikiki! We really want to go! Twelve students brought in coupons today. We have 27 students! We need everyone to help our team succeed. Read and complete those coupons for Monday, February 2. We could have a really big finally with your help!
Here are the official Waikiki rules to go with the letter you received:Students can only count reading minutes for reading done at home (after school at 3:15pm or after choice hour at 4:05pm)The kids are allowed to read extra minutes to help our team however a 3rd or 4th grader will only earn extra points if he or she doubles their reading requirement. For example: For each additional 100 minutes a third grader reads, he would earn 50 extra miles (points) for his class.
