I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends!
Today we began reading Maniac Magee! We used examples from the book to talk about dramatic irony. Ask your child to tell you about the main character, Jeffrey and his home situation. This afternoon we began researching early Native American tribes native to Michigan. We took time today to learn about the differences in primary and secondary sources using pictures related to each tribe. It was exciting to work with Mrs. Truesdell for this research. We will continue this on Thursday. Get ready for another great day tomorrow!

*Please encourage your child to bring a water bottle to class so he/she does not have to leave class when thirsty!

IT IS IMPORTANT FOR YOUR CHILD TO BRING SHARPENED PENCILS TO SCHOOL EACH DAY! PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR CHILD WITH A PERSONAL PENCIL SHARPENER TO KEEP IN HIS/HER BINDER!!!
