Today was a terrific Tuesday! We worked so hard on creating a resource map for the peninsulas of Michigan. We created a voice thread for the continents and oceans. During language arts we wrote a detailed paragraph of what we are thankful for this year and put it on our wiki to share with you!
Have a Happy and Happy Thanksgiving!

*Please encourage your child to bring a water bottle to class so he/she does not have to leave class when thirsty!

IT IS IMPORTANT FOR YOUR CHILD TO BRING SHARPENED PENCILS TO SCHOOL EACH DAY! PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR CHILD WITH A PERSONAL PENCIL SHARPENER TO KEEP IN HIS/HER BINDER!!!

Here’s what we have for you tonight:

3rd Grade Reading: 20 minutes (record on the wiki: butzin09.wikis.birmingham.k12.mi.us)

4th Grade Reading: 30 minutes (record on the wiki: butzin09.wikis.birmingham.k12.mi.us)

Language Arts:
A few students need to complete the personal narrative powerpoint, import it into voice thread and post it to the language arts page of your wiki. Today was the last day to complete the powerpoint in class. If your child does not finish, he/she should complete it at home and upload it to voice thread and the wiki by Monday. A few students have emailed it to themselves to complete this assignment.

Spelling:
Assignment #2 Due/Test December 7 (Monday)

List #2 Compound words. Choose your spelling words from A, B or C. You need a parent to sign off on the choice you make. Complete the definition activity on Moodle (up to 2 attempts) and Play 3 games from Spellingcity.com.

3rd Grade Math:

Mental recall goals (for exiting 3rd grade) are 30 addition and 30 subtraction in 2 mins, 50 multiplication and 50 division 3 mins. Check out the math website at the top of our Blog. It is great for practicing all facts!
