We had so much fun today at the spelling bee. We were in awe of the amazing 5-8 spellers! We spelled right along with them on our clipboards. The students are bringing home their spelling lists from the bee today to share with you. In the afternoon we created our online glossary for social studies on our class wiki and read Maniac Magee. Have a wonderful weekend with your family and friends!
*Please encourage your child to bring a water bottle to class so he/she does not have to leave class when thirsty!
IT IS IMPORTANT FOR YOUR CHILD TO BRING SHARPENED PENCILS TO SCHOOL EACH DAY! PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR CHILD WITH A PERSONAL PENCIL SHARPENER TO KEEP IN HIS/HER BINDER!!!
Here’s what we have for you tonight:

Paragraph Practice: “My Life As” due Jan 21st – final draft will be uploaded to the wiki
After completing TWO brainstorm webs. Type your first draft. Then, edit and revise your work. You will now have the computer’s help with some spelling, word choice (using the thesaurus) and grammar issues. However, the ideas and details will always come from you!
