I look forward to meeting with some of you tonight and others on Thursday! It was a great day in room 204. This morning we visited the book fair and made our wish lists to share. In the afternoon, we learned reviewed our land and water study with Science Court and took our science test on Moodle. They did a great job! Get ready for a terrific Thursday.

Science:
Today we finished up our unit on Land and Water by taking the test. Your child can show it to you online! If your child scored 14 points or less, he/she may try it again between now and Friday. This is our first Moodle experience this year so a few of us may need another try!


Social Studies:
Email a parent or relative and tell them about your BCS community!
To get to a student’s BPS email:

1. Go to the BPS homepage at http://www.birmingham.k12.mi.us/
2. Hover over the “Parents/Students” link on the top menu bar. A drop down menu will appear.
3. In the drop down menu, click on “Student Links.”
4. Click on the “Microsoft Outlook 2007” icon:
5. A pop-up for username and password will appear. The student’s username must be entered with the full extension -- username@birmingham.k12.mi.us . The password is the same password the students uses to login at school.

3rd Grade Math:
We took our unit 3 assessment today. The review was due today. Several students need to turn in the review tomorrow.

Find your name and log in using your school password (this is in on a sticker in your planner)
Or, log into your school email and click on the emails (with a link) that have been sent to you.

3rd Grade End of Year Fact Expectations:
Students should have quick mental recall of the following number of facts by the end of the year: 30 addition/30 subtraction facts in 2 mins and 50 division/50 multiplication facts in 3 mins

4th Grade Math:
Get your test letter signed if you have not yet done so! JP 82-84 SL 4.3. We also have 4 online tests due by Friday! The codes are LITF8322, HAIM8729, BIBY0851, and LDJR0814.

Please make sure your child has a good book with him/her each day! We usually have 15 minutes of silent reading time each day!

Please check your child's Blue Take Home Folder each day to check for mail, homework, and important information.

PLEASE INITIAL YOUR CHILD’S PLANNER EACH NIGHT SO I KNOW YOU ARE AWARE OF THE HOMEWORK AND EXCITING THINGS HAPPENING IN OUR CLASSROOM!

IT IS IMPORTANT FOR YOUR CHILD TO BRING SHARPENED PENCILS TO SCHOOL EACH DAY! PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR CHILD WITH A PERSONAL PENCIL SHARPENER TO KEEP IN HIS/HER BINDER!!!

PLEASE SEND YOUR CHILD WITH A WATER BOTTLE!!! This helps a lot, so he/she does not have to leave
the room when thirsty! Your child is also welcome to keep healthy snacks in our classroom to eat any
time!
