We had an amazing second day of school! This morning we learned how we can work cooperatively as a buddy. We had our first math class today. We also got our first language arts assignment today. Students will be decorating the writers/readers notebook over the next few days. Tonight they will be sharing a letter detailing this assignment that is due on Monday! Students are also bringing home the writers/readers notebook to share with you. Get ready for a thrilling Thursday.
Here is what we have for you today:
Language Arts:
Decorate your writers/readers notebook
Share the letter with your parents and use the directions to guide you
Decorated notebook is due on Monday!
Bring a chapter book to class
Read at least 20 minutes (3rd graders) or 30 minutes (4th graders)
3rd Grade Math:
Give your parents the math letter that is on bright pink paper
Find a special place at home to keep your student reference book
Show your parents the special place where you keep your math journal
4th Grade Math:
Show your parents the orange packet and leave it at home
Get the yellow sheet signed
Leave SRB at home
Tell your parents about the SRB
Go onto IXL for five minutes
Important Reminders:
• School starts at 8:20. Students should be in their homeroom seat by this time.
• Please bring 3 sharp pencils to class every day.
• Bring a water bottle and two healthy snacks every day.
• Bring a chapter book every day.

• Back to School Night FOR PARENTS is this Thursday, September 13. Volunteer sign up and refreshments begin at 6:00 p.m., Mrs. Frishman and I will begin our presentation at 6:30 sharp in room (206), Mrs. Chinn begins at 7:00 sharp in the Media Center.
