Our day was fantastic! This morning we enjoyed visiting the school spelling bee. Lots of students practiced spelling the words as the participants spelled them. It was a very exciting challenge for us. BCS has some amazing spellers. Have a wonderful weekend!
Field Trip Friday: I currently have the families of Alexander, Stebbins, Hurley, Juriga, Coyer, Ryan, Deighan and Richardson joining us on the trip. Please meet in the media center at 9:00 for an overview of the day. Join us in the classroom afterwards and begin boarding busses at 9:15. You will want to bring a bag lunch for this trip. 3rd Grade End of Year Fact Expectations:
Students should have quick mental recall of the following number of facts by the end of the year: 30 addition/30 subtraction facts in 2 mins and 50 division/50 multiplication facts in 3 mins
4th Grade Math:
Today we started learning the traditional multiplication method! While the kids will need to be able to demonstrate the partial-products method, I am encouraging them to use the traditional method as much as possible. The kids have a paper that they need to complete for Monday. Also due Monday is JP 126-129 SL 5.8 and online tests. The codes are QCYT8258, ISOY9281, VWOM4917, and XYVX0220.
To get to a student’s BPS email:

2. Hover over the “Parents/Students” link on the top menu bar. A drop down menu will appear.
3. In the drop down menu, click on “Student Links.”

5. A pop-up for username and password will appear. The student’s username must be entered with the full extension -- username@birmingham.k12.mi.us . The password is the same password the students uses to login at school.
