This morning in writers workshop, we worked with our writing buddy on creating sensory details for our writing piece. Afterwards, we picked a few to add to our writing. This really made an impact on our writing allowing us to really use our five senses when describing things in our writing.

Today, your child is bringing home a permission slip for the Orchestra Hall. Please ask your child to share this with you tonight!
Our class turned in all of the Choice Hour forms before the deadline! Yippie! They are so proud and ready to celebrate with a fun movie. Students will be bringing home a permission slip for the movie voted on by the class. Please ask your child to share this with you tonight.

3rd Grade End of Year Fact Expectations:
Students should have quick mental recall of the following number of facts by the end of the year: 30 addition/30 subtraction facts in 2 mins and 50 division/50 multiplication facts in 3 mins

4th Grade Math:
Tonight’s homework is 15 minutes of IXL. I want the kids to focus on the multiplication practice (skills D1-D18) and when those are finished, we can choose any skills we want! Today the kids and I spent a lot of time practicing traditional multiplication and partial-products multiplication. Your child has a paper in his/her green math folder to show you some of this practice! We decided to make our review due tomorrow and our test is now Thursday!

5. A pop-up for username and password will appear. The student’s username must be entered with the full extension -- username@birmingham.k12.mi.us . The password is the same password the students uses to login at school.

Please check your child's Blue Take Home Folder each day to check for mail, homework, and important information.

IT IS IMPORTANT FOR YOUR CHILD TO BRING SHARPENED PENCILS TO SCHOOL EACH DAY! PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR CHILD WITH A PERSONAL PENCIL SHARPENER TO KEEP IN HIS/HER BINDER!!!

PLEASE SEND YOUR CHILD WITH A WATER BOTTLE!!! This helps a lot, so he/she does not have to leave
the room when thirsty! Your child is also welcome to keep healthy snacks in our classroom to eat any
time!
