We had a marvelous Monday in room 204. This morning we learned why Battle Creek is known as the Cereal Capital of the World! We also worked hard on or Native American research projects. Our class was able to get so much done today because we have incredible workers! I am so proud of you!

I will be attending a district professional development meeting tomorrow.

Read to the Seniors Party on Friday, May 18. This is a wonderful trip. Drivers will arrive at BCS at 9:40 and return to school by 11:05. We have the following parent chaperones/drivers for the party:
Deighan (5), Culver (3), DeVos (4), Wilker (6), Hurley (5), Wilms (5), and Raj (5)



Least-Amount-of-Overdues Contest: WE are ALMOST there! Keep looking around for these lost books. The contest is earlier this year due to the media center floor renovations.

BAASC Reading Party Field Trip: This trip is on Friday, May 18 from 10-11. We will be reading to the Seniors on this day. Students will bring 2 or more of their favorite chapter books from home or check them out from the Baldwin Library.

3rd Grade End of Year Fact Expectations:
Students should have quick mental recall of the following number of facts by the end of the year: 30 addition/30 subtraction facts in 2 mins and 50 division/50 multiplication facts in 3 mins

4th Grade Math:

Today we took one final assessment that will help our counselors place our students in the best math classes for them next year. No homework tonight!! Just play!!! We will get our Unit 10 tests back tomorrow!!

2. Hover over the “Parents/Students” link on the top menu bar. A drop down menu will appear.
3. In the drop down menu, click on “Student Links.”
4. Click on the “Microsoft Outlook 2007” icon:
5. A pop-up for username and password will appear. The student’s username must be entered with the full extension -- username@birmingham.k12.mi.us . The password is the same password the students uses to login at school.

Please make sure your child has a good book with him/her each day! We usually have 15 minutes of silent reading time each day!

Please check your child's Blue Take Home Folder each day to check for mail, homework, and important information.

IT IS IMPORTANT FOR YOUR CHILD TO BRING SHARPENED PENCILS TO SCHOOL EACH DAY! PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR CHILD WITH A PERSONAL PENCIL SHARPENER TO KEEP IN HIS/HER BINDER!!!

PLEASE SEND YOUR CHILD WITH A WATER BOTTLE!!! This helps a lot, so he/she does not have to leave
the room when thirsty! Your child is also welcome to keep healthy snacks in our classroom to eat any
time!
