It was such a wonderful Wednesday! We did our first real science lab to start off our Land and Water Unit! Ask your child what we did!!! We continued our test-taking practice this morning and it will go on until Friday. We will be working on our memoirs again tomorrow!

Summer Packets are due on Wednesday, September 30th Please keep this at home until September 30th as we do not have the room to store it until then. Thank you!!!

A Catch of the Week schedule came home with your child. It explained what we do with our “catch” for each week! Please keep the schedule in a special location at home.

*Please encourage your child to bring a water bottle to class so he/she does not have to leave class when thirsty!

IT IS IMPORTANT FOR YOUR CHILD TO BRING SHARPENED PENCILS TO SCHOOL EACH DAY! PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR CHILD WITH A PERSONAL PENCIL SHARPENER TO KEEP IN HIS/HER BINDER!!!

3rd Grade Reading: 20 minutes

4th Grade Reading: 30 minutes

Language arts:
-This week some of the students will be bringing home an “All About Me” memoir for and adult to proofread. Directions can be found on #4 on the writing checklist found in this packet.

Math:
3rd Grade Math: JP 16; Study mult. facts for 10 minutes
Students will keep their homelink and math journals in their binders. These will travel to and from school each day in the binder. Please help your child find a great permanent location for each of these in the binder if he/she did not in class today. We will use each of these in class everyday!

3rd Grade Mental recall goals (for exiting 3rd grade):
30 addition and 30 subtraction in 2 mins, 50 multiplication and 50 division 3 mins. Check out the math website at the top of our Blog. It is great for practicing all facts!


4th Grade Math: Review due Thursday; Test Friday; GeoMuseum due Oct. 9 and study facts for 5 minutes
