Today was a fabulous Friday! What a great way to end our week! We had such a wonderful day!!! This morning we went to the media center for an orientation. This afternoon we had the chance to visit the media center for our first checkout day of the year! We will go almost every Friday to check out books. Ask your child if he/she checked anything out!
In your child’s mail, you will see a Catch of the Week schedule. It will explain what we do with our “catch” for each week!
Today your child wrote you a letter about the first week of school and he/she will give it to you today! If your child did not finish it, please ask him/her to finish it before giving it to you!
Soon we will be starting our first science unit on Land and Water. In order to do this, our class needs 9 2-liter bottles. The bottles must be clear and they must have a cap. If you can donate one, please send it in with your child! We also need 9 shoe boxes for this unit. If you can donate one, we would appreciate it. This is a wonderful unit and I thank you for your help in getting started!!!
*Please encourage your child to bring a water bottle to class so he/she does not have to leave class when thirsty!
IT IS IMPORTANT FOR YOUR CHILD TO BRING SHARPENED PENCILS TO SCHOOL EACH DAY! PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR CHILD WITH A PERSONAL PENCIL SHARPENER TO KEEP IN HIS/HER BINDER!!!
We all have mail today!
About Me Poster: We are working hard on posters in class. If your child does not want to draw his/her picture, he/she is welcome to bring in a picture. Ask your child if he/she wants to bring in a picture! Posters are due on Wednesday.
