I am so happy to be back with my class and to have found my voice! The children did an amazing job in my absence, and I am so proud of them. The guest teachers were so complimentary of them and said they were outstanding! Way to go!
A permission slip went home today for our first field trip! We are going to the Ford Rouge Factory Tour!!! Please have your child return the permission slip and money by Friday, October 30th.
Tomorrow is our last day of MEAPing! Fourth graders will be MEAPing in the morning. In the afternoon we will prepare for our land and water assessment. Have a great night!

Go online and take the multiplication and addition timed tests by Sunday night! There are 2 tests to take online. I told the students that they should strive to beat their previous score!
We checked the review together in class today. I am sending it home with students today as a study guide. They will return it signed on Friday. The ticket for taking the test on Friday is the review! Everyone must have it for the test!
How to take timed tests ONLINE:
Go to Mrs. Butzin’s blog and click on “TAKE YOUR TEST HERE”
The password is in your child’s planner. Students should have the quiz completed by Monday morning!
3rd Grade Mental recall goals (for exiting 3rd grade):
30 addition and 30 subtraction in 2 mins, 50 multiplication and 50 division 3 mins. Check out the math website on ourBlog. It is great for practicing all facts!
4th Grade Math:
Today in class we completed a page together with important information that will help you throughout Unit 3. Make sure you keep it safe in your green math folder. Tonight’s homework is JP 60 SL 3.4. It is due Friday because we don’t have math tomorrow due to our last day of MEAP testing.
IT IS IMPORTANT FOR YOUR CHILD TO BRING SHARPENED PENCILS TO SCHOOL EACH DAY!
