Happy Thursday from your friends in 204! Today we started our new book club genre....Ecosystems! It compliments our study of ecosystems in science beautifully. This afternoon, we reviewed for our science test tomorrow. Get ready for a fantastic Friday-

Here’s What We Have for You:
Read 20/30 minutes

HL 6.12
Get unit 6 assessment signed by a parent and show to me tomorrow
Take 2 online tests
You must earn a 70 percent on the timed multiplication test in order for your score to be recorded.
Those who don’t earn 70 percent will need to continue retaking until the test is passed. Once you’ve earned 70 percent, your score will be recorded online.
Go onto IXL and practice skill builders for 10 minutes


Science:
Ecosystems Review due Friday. We completed the review together in class.

Click on 3rd grade online MATH TEST site!
Find your name and log in using your school password (this is in on a sticker in your planner)
Or, log into your school email and click on the emails (with a link) that have been sent to you.

3rd Grade End of Year Fact Expectations:
Students should have quick mental recall of the following number of facts by the end of the year: 30 addition/30 subtraction facts in 2 mins and 50 division/50 multiplication facts in 3 mins

4th Grade Math:
JP 193 (Your are free to skip #5 on this JP) SL 7.3 We also have 10 minutes of IXL practice to do tonight. I want us to work on mastering Q1, Q2, and Q5. If you finish those in the 10 minutes, you are free to choose your own skills to work on!



To get to a student’s BPS email:

1. Go to the BPS homepage at http://www.birmingham.k12.mi.us/
2. Hover over the “Parents/Students” link on the top menu bar. A drop down menu will appear.
3. In the drop down menu, click on “Student Links.”
4. Click on the “Microsoft Outlook 2007” icon:
5. A pop-up for username and password will appear. The student’s username must be entered with the full extension -- username@birmingham.k12.mi.us . The password is the same password the students uses to login at school.

Please make sure your child has a good book with him/her each day! We usually have 15 minutes of silent reading time each day!

Please check your child's Blue Take Home Folder each day to check for mail, homework, and important information.

PLEASE INITIAL YOUR CHILD’S PLANNER EACH NIGHT SO I KNOW YOU ARE AWARE OF THE HOMEWORK AND EXCITING THINGS HAPPENING IN OUR CLASSROOM!

IT IS IMPORTANT FOR YOUR CHILD TO BRING SHARPENED PENCILS TO SCHOOL EACH DAY! PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR CHILD WITH A PERSONAL PENCIL SHARPENER TO KEEP IN HIS/HER BINDER!!!

PLEASE SEND YOUR CHILD WITH A WATER BOTTLE!!! This helps a lot, so he/she does not have to leave
the room when thirsty! Your child is also welcome to keep healthy snacks in our classroom to eat any
time!
