Today we had the best time celebrating our reading Super Bowl style! Thanks to the wonderful parents who planned and executed such a fabulous party. It was the most fun day! Have a great weekend.

Writing:
Incoming Student Friendly Letter due February 8 – You will bring the final copy to school on Wednesday. You can include pictures as well!
3rd Grade Math:
Study 9 facts for 15 minutes each day (15 min Friday, Saturday and Sunday) using IXL.
You will have 45 minutes logged on IXL by Monday morning as a result. Once you have mastered 9, you can work on any skill in IXL.
Take online timed test before Tuesday!

3rd Grade End of Year Fact Expectations:
Students should have quick mental recall of the following number of facts by the end of the year: 30 addition/30 subtraction facts in 2 mins and 50 division/50 multiplication facts in 3 mins
4th Grade Math:
JP 165-167 SL 6.9 We also have three online tests due Monday. The codes are HOTY5303, QXUO2939, EBCP4230. Kids are encouraged to use the half and full circle protractors, but the half is much more accurate. I have told them it’s great to start with the half and check with the full in this unit.

To get to a student’s BPS email:

2. Hover over the “Parents/Students” link on the top menu bar. A drop down menu will appear.
3. In the drop down menu, click on “Student Links.”

5. A pop-up for username and password will appear. The student’s username must be entered with the full extension -- username@birmingham.k12.mi.us . The password is the same password the students uses to login at school.
