What a wonderful Wednesday in room 204! This morning we worked really hard learning about the dangers of our designated Michigan ecosystem. Next we will begin to write the draft for our PSA. In the afternoon, we learned more about food chains and webs. We also enjoyed Engineering Tech and PE today.

3rd Grade Math:
Starting today, we will begin taking our SECOND round of focused, timed math tests. We will start with the 2 multiplication tests. Students will need to study for 10 minutes each night in order to score 70 percent or higher on these timed tests. Students who score below 7o percent will have an opportunity to come in during success center to practice the facts and retake the test. I am confident with practice, these facts will be easy to memorize!

Take online, timed multiplication 2 fact test by Friday.
Take online untimed angle quiz by Friday.

IXL skill builders for 10 minutes

Science:
Ecosystems Review due Friday. We completed the review together in class today.

Find your name and log in using your school password (this is in on a sticker in your planner)

3rd Grade End of Year Fact Expectations:
Students should have quick mental recall of the following number of facts by the end of the year: 30 addition/30 subtraction facts in 2 mins and 50 division/50 multiplication facts in 3 mins

5. A pop-up for username and password will appear. The student’s username must be entered with the full extension -- username@birmingham.k12.mi.us . The password is the same password the students uses to login at school.

Please make sure your child has a good book with him/her each day! We usually have 15 minutes of silent reading time each day!

Please check your child's Blue Take Home Folder each day to check for mail, homework, and important information.

IT IS IMPORTANT FOR YOUR CHILD TO BRING SHARPENED PENCILS TO SCHOOL EACH DAY! PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR CHILD WITH A PERSONAL PENCIL SHARPENER TO KEEP IN HIS/HER BINDER!!!

PLEASE SEND YOUR CHILD WITH A WATER BOTTLE!!! This helps a lot, so he/she does not have to leave
the room when thirsty! Your child is also welcome to keep healthy snacks in our classroom to eat any
time!
