This has been a terrific Tuesday in room 204. We had the best time working in our science triads today learning and sharing on our wiki. In the afternoon we enjoyed book clubs and Engage! Get ready for another great day!

Valentine Party: February 14 from 2:15-3:15 in the 4/5 science lab. This is a Frishman/Butzin class party! You are welcome to join us.

Incoming Student Friendly Letter due February 8 – You will bring the final copy to school on Wednesday. You can include pictures as well!

3rd Grade Math:
HL 6.5 and study facts 1-9 for 10 minutes!

Find your name and log in using your school password (this is in on a sticker in your planner)
Or, log into your school email and click on the emails (with a link) that have been sent to you.

3rd Grade End of Year Fact Expectations:
Students should have quick mental recall of the following number of facts by the end of the year: 30 addition/30 subtraction facts in 2 mins and 50 division/50 multiplication facts in 3 mins

4th Grade Math:
Unit 6 Review due tomorrow (#11 c, e, f are optional/challenge problems). We have our test Thursday! If you have one of my geo-templates at home, please bring it back!!! We also have 20 minutes of IXL due tomorrow. We are focusing on skills P10, P11, P12, E1, E2, and E3. Once you finish those skills, you are free to choose any other skills on IXL to practice. I recommend multiplication and division!

2. Hover over the “Parents/Students” link on the top menu bar. A drop down menu will appear.
3. In the drop down menu, click on “Student Links.”
4. Click on the “Microsoft Outlook 2007” icon:
5. A pop-up for username and password will appear. The student’s username must be entered with the full extension -- username@birmingham.k12.mi.us . The password is the same password the students uses to login at school.

Please make sure your child has a good book with him/her each day! We usually have 15 minutes of silent reading time each day!

Please check your child's Blue Take Home Folder each day to check for mail, homework, and important information.

PLEASE INITIAL YOUR CHILD’S PLANNER EACH NIGHT SO I KNOW YOU ARE AWARE OF THE HOMEWORK AND EXCITING THINGS HAPPENING IN OUR CLASSROOM!

IT IS IMPORTANT FOR YOUR CHILD TO BRING SHARPENED PENCILS TO SCHOOL EACH DAY! PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR CHILD WITH A PERSONAL PENCIL SHARPENER TO KEEP IN HIS/HER BINDER!!!

PLEASE SEND YOUR CHILD WITH A WATER BOTTLE!!! This helps a lot, so he/she does not have to leave
the room when thirsty! Your child is also welcome to keep healthy snacks in our classroom to eat any
time!
