If your child has an ipod touch, a netbook, or an old laptop, and you feel comfortable allowing him/her to bring it to school, please do so ASAP! We need to get the info to our tech department so we can get everyone on our secure network. It will be extremely helpful during our science unit on Land and Water and throughout their time at Covington!
All About Me poster is due Thursday and your child has this in his/her binder.
3rd Grade Math:
What a great day in 3rd grade math! Students received their homelink books today for math. These are hole punched and will stay bound inside the binder. Tonight students will complete HL 1.2 and 1.3.
4th Grade Math:
JP 12-13 SL 1.5 Today we got our Study Link books! The kids were so excited! Please make sure your child is now completing the study links in this book. The copies of study links 1.2-1.4 can be kept in your child’s green math folder. If you received the email about purchasing math tools, please know that there is only one that I recommend. It is the fourth grade geo-template. Your child will use that throughout the year and it would be so helpful for him/her to have it in his/her binder all the time! Please make sure your child has a good book with him/her each day! We usually have 15 minutes of silent reading time each day!
Please check your child's Blue Take Home Folder each day to check for mail, homework, and important information.

IT IS IMPORTANT FOR YOUR CHILD TO BRING SHARPENED PENCILS TO SCHOOL EACH DAY! PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR CHILD WITH A PERSONAL PENCIL SHARPENER TO KEEP IN HIS/HER BINDER!!!
PLEASE SEND YOUR CHILD WITH A WATER BOTTLE!!! This helps a lot, so he/she does not have to leave the room when thirsty! Your child is also welcome to keep healthy snacks in our classroom to eat any time!
